STINGER® NailPac® - The Superior Way to Protect Homes from Moisture
Moisture barriers are critical in protecting homes from water damage. Be sure you're using the right fastener for the job.
You've heard the cliche, "it's what's on the inside that counts," and for roofing, that's 100% true. While shingles are a great first line of defense against moisture, when severe weather hits, it's the moisture barrier's time to shine. That's why synthetic roofing underlayments must be secured with something strong and long-lasting, like a cap nail.
Many underlayment manufacturers require hand drive or collated cap nails to secure roofing underlayment. Additionally, cap nails are necessary to meet building codes in some areas, especially those with high wind. But not all cap nails offer peak performance. What's the best choice for fastening moisture barriers and protecting roof decks from future moisture problems? STINGER® NailPac®.
Engineered to Perform
STINGER NailPac includes ten reels of 200 plastic caps and ten coils of 200 nails. The 1 in. plastic caps paired with the 1" x .083 ring shank nails are code-compliant and proven through independent testing to hold on in category 5 hurricane-sustained winds with wind gusts up to 180 miles per hour.
While they offer excellent holding power in high-winds thanks to their surface area, they also create an effective seal compared to a hand drive cap nail, reducing moisture penetration. Plus, they won't crack under prolonged UV exposure, lasting up to 10X longer than hand drive cap nails, which is necessary if you aren't covering the roof deck right away.
NailPac is available with 304 Stainless Steel ring shank nails for areas within 3,000 feet of saltwater and Electro-Galvanized for all other projects, so you can use the best product no matter where you are.
Recognized as the Best
We've done the testing that shows NailPac outperforms the competition, and NailPac meets the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety's (IBHS) FORTIFIED Roof™ program standards. Now, NailPac is adding another recognition to its ranks with its recently gained Florida Product Approval (FL35349) under the Florida (DBPR) Department of Business & Professional Regulation.
This approval means that if you're building in a climate that faces severe weather events, NailPac is the trusted product to get the job done and keep water out of the home, reducing damage from hurricanes and heavy rains. Not in Florida? NailPac is still the best way to protect the roof deck from weather damage and moisture problems, which is why underlayment manufacturers like GAF® recommend using NailPac on every installation.
The Best Install Experience
NailPac doesn't just deliver superior holding power—it also boasts a great installation experience. NailPac was designed exclusively for use with the STINGER CN100B Cap Nailer, saving you time on the job.
The CN100B features a bumpfire and sequential mode, so you can load your tool, and fasten rows of underlayment in no time. Plus, it offers maximized fastener capacity, holding 200 caps and 200 nails, so reloads are easy and infrequent. The CN100B also allows for safer installs, as you can keep three contact points on the roof while fastening.
So, when tackling roofing projects, don't just think surface level. Instead, better protect homes from future moisture problems by installing synthetic underlayments with the best fastener: STINGER NailPac.
